Žepa

Žepa was one of six U.N. safe areas during the Bosnian War. Located in Eastern Bosnia just south of Srebrenica the town finally fell to Bosnian Serb forces on July 25, 1995 after being under siege for three years. This was two weeks after the fall of Srebrenica and the massacre of more than 8,000 men and boys.
